Bible Verse for Morning Prayer
Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. – Colossians 4:5-6
Today’s Inspiration
Here Paul addresses both “our walk and our talk”. We are to walk in wisdom and in a way that uses time wisely instead of wasting it. In doing this, unbelievers may be provoked to ask us why we live the way we do. Then we must answer with grace, wisdom, and appropriateness.
Night Prayer
You have made us your witnesses, Lord, that you are God. Our actions and our words are a witness to the world. Let them be full of wisdom and love. Help us to know how to speak a word in season and how to speak the truth in love to others. Amen.
